I fixed the problem. When I booted my system, I went into the setup menu and found the certificate security feature listed there. I was able to deselect this feature in Win7. So, I disabled it and rebooted my computer. I was then able to install the Java software.

What gets me is Microsoft putting all these security features into the OS. At least give the user a chance to select the security features that he/she wants. It should not be a situation, wherein, one level of security safe guards fits all users.

By the way, I was able to access the certificate and could not find anything wrong with it. The dates for the certificate were still valid. Maybe Microsoft has a problem with Java...who knows.
