It's pure propaganda and spin. The backlash since yesterday was more than expected. The web was full of articles since last night, and Drudge already announced that the unions caved. (he since edited that headline to be polite)

People on radio stations were as outraged as in print.

Also remember that today's crowd will be totally different. The people that PAY TAXES and pay these employees work all week, and cannot show up during weekdays.
