Like I said, all dating methods and models are only as good as the assumptions they are calibrated with, but I was mot using the Burgess Shale as proof of Noah's flood anyway. I just pointed out that the top of that mountain was once the bottom of the ocean. There are Christians in both camps who disagree about the age of the earth and the universe. Young Earth Creationism is not an essential doctrine of Christianity. There are two essential miracles that are essential to Christianity and they are, one: the Creation of the universe, and Two: the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead. If those two miracles are accepted, then other so called miracles are not out of the realm of possibility.
