The Fed new this would happen this year. They claimed no inflation last year and pensions and SS got no COLAs for this year. They attempted to raise inflation and succeeded very well. Now it could spiral out of control.

Many naive people judge the stock market as a positive indicator for the economy, however, most of the trading is based on the falling dollar.

When we see the stock market losing some of these recent gains it will be a sign the economy is actually improving.

Went grocery shopping with the wife last week and there were at least three times that "I'm not paying that much for that" came out of my mouth......She likes to tell me that I'm a hermit cave man that time has passed by and that I don't understand today's prices. Which may have some truth to it, but there is no doubt that prices are on a rip to the upside.

The lack of governmental fiscal responsibility is taxing us in more than the obvious ways.
