LTBH,

I have extra RAM sticks here, have already checked them. The problem with much more than 1GB is in the motherboard. I have compared the AA numbers on the motherboards, the dates and revision numbers of the BIOSs, etc. They have dates from 2002. The one motherboard that can handle 2 GB of RAM has a revision date of 2004.

If I were technically more competent and could find the stuff needed, I would flash the BIOS myself. But, intel no longer provides support for these D865-GLC motherboards.
