Great explanation as to why much of the country has a very low priced, affordable housing stock while the larger older urban coastal blue metro areas are still very expensive. The end game accelerated the trend due to the housing bubble where everyone paid very high prices most likely to get in where all the new construction took place and all the job growth was tied to the ponzi scheme. No where is it more obvious in close proximity than the current spread in central CA valley prices versus the mature coastal communities in the Bay Area with a real economy not tied to housing and little land on which development could take place.
