Here is one to contemplate as a 20yr investment!
mgmenergy.com

In a nutshell, they have big properties in the Canadian arctic, mostly gas, which will be worth something when the gov builds the pipeline which has already been approved, but will take a few years. There is a lot of gas (and maybe oil) up there, cheap and easy to get, but because it is so far away the transport costs add about $3 to the mcf, so it is profitable at gas prices above about $6. Stock price is about $.25
which puts a value of $.07 per mcf or $.25 per boe.

I stumbled across it because it is run by the daddy of the lady who runs Perpetual (old Paramount). They seem like competent and lucky people.

some mention of MGM at the end of this interview: investorvillage.com

The Perpetual lady, old article, not v interesting: allbusiness.com

Better article, her husband is a whizz too: theglobeandmail.com
