Jeez - what is the HDD ? Assume a 7200 RPM SATA? What would get it higher? SATA III transfer rate I guess? (6GB/s)? [If I read it correctly if the notebook had a problem with Sandy, then if you had a SATA III drive, it wouldn't be affected?] But both are using the same drive I suppose. Guess I am surprised at the low graphics card numbers but ... to be honest, it is a rigged game. I mean if you had a screaming video card, the notebook probably would be on fire. They should have a realistic maximum when it comes to notebooks. I don't personally believe that comparing a notebook to a desktop is fair just based on the mere fact you can go wild with multiple video cards and outrageous cooling on a desktop. But otherwise nice numbers - based on being a notebook. I saw weaker numbers on systems at Costco and they had i processors as well. (the problem is - stock machines tend to have a processor that is overkill for hype - ie "i7" yet the rest of the system typically isn't that great - ie the video. Which is mostly why I want to build mine from the ground up - desktop wise). B

Your hdd score is the same I have seen on almost all 7200 disks. Overall, I would say the Experience score for the Dell is good. I'm running an i7 940, 2.93 ghz with an nVidia GTX 285 graphics card, 6 gigs of ram and an OCZ Vertex2 SSD.
