(NYSE:AOL), Thursday announced that it has successfully completed the field trial with 3Com Corp.'s (NASDAQ:COMS) x2 T technology.(a) Completion of this trial makes it possible for AOL members to access the service at high speeds in 410 cities throughout the country. In June, AOL announced the broad deployment of the field trial with 3Com, and assured members that they would upgrade 200 cities to x2 technology by the end of September.
