Ivan,

On 12/16/96 CSDS gapped down a bit then traded down the rest of the day. The next day it gapped down a bit more. If you stretch that to label it a 33% gap down (which may be reasonable as a special case), the first signal day was 12/30 with a sell signal on 1/15. After that there was another signal day on 4/8 that amounted to nothing with a sell signal on 4/14. Then another on 6/26 with a sell at the open on 7/7. For the time period you first posted about, the signal day was 8/22.

PGDCEBS are actually very easy to play if you draw the trendline as a sell signal.
