Well no, but its less a matter of whether or not he is responsible and more a matter of who believes he responsible. I think if oil was rising for no apparent reason, he would get more pressure to do something about it. But now he that he has an out, he might be able to just let it run and continue his easy money, prop the stock market ways.

I am sure that was also his hope when he recently tried to deflect the causes of food inflation away from himself. But I am not sure anybody bought into that story.

However, the current oil story looks more believable and might be a better sell. Blame the Middle-east unrest for oil prices then blame oil for food prices and keep on printing.
