If a Republican President had pushed high speed rail in Florida, they'd be accused of destroying the everglades for Big Business Railroads. Not Odumbo.

Nobody would ride the rail. Everybody likes to use a car and stop at several sites on the way. Tourists would still have to get to Florida.

Stupid idea really. Lots of environmental and land ownership issues as well. Not worth the trouble. If it makes sense let private business build a passenger rail. No need to spend public money. That is almost certain to cause failure.
