Well, Ted, there IS a massive budget shortfall, and employees ARE going to be laid off and fired. States can't run deficits, and Wisconsin's current public labor force was installed in rosier times.

But they have already agreed to his giveback demands...why is the bill only targeting collective bargaining rights of unions who did not support his election bid while leaving these rights intact for the two who did support him?

Not when you are doing tax cuts and adding to the deficit.

Having said that, its not like the public employees are unwilling to compromise; in fact, they have offered numerous compromises. They just don't want to lose their bargaining rights and I don't blame them.
