State governments aren't capitalists. The fight in WI and other states has nothing to do with unions vs "greedhead" capitalists. Its a conflict between greedhead public employee unions and taxpayers.

>> Collective bargaining is the ONLY way to force greedhead capitalists into sharing more of the profits PRODUCED by the workers.

We could argument about this statement as it pertains to business; however, it is totally inapplicable to the government since government by definition is not "capitalist". The "revenue" for government is claimed by the legislative process, and the target of the collective bargaining is a de facto bottomless pit of money. It cannot go broke, it will not be allowed to go broke, and if it runs out of money the taxpayers from other states will pick up the tab.

In the normal bankruptcy process, there exists a basic insurance against greedy unions: If they take it all, the company ends up bankrupt and the greedy unions end up without jobs (Obama's corrupt bankruptcy process for GM notwithstanding).

Collective bargaining for state jobs makes absolutely no economic sense. At least in commercial entities, there is an argument to be made (a weak one IMO). Here, there is just no cogent argument at all.
