(IMO) Not very much! This is the norm now for many pharmas--outsourcing their development projects to this type company that has the ability to conduct data collection in foreign countries. Merely look at the major reduction in force by the likes of Pfizer where they are cutting their scientific staff in huge numbers.

As for Elan, first they have to have projects and at the moment they don't have what I call a robust pipeline. Near term, all they have is a hope with Tysbari and the Alz. project that is in Phase III........based on earlier results......I don't hold out much hope for that project.
