>>I've been running Snow Leopard in a virtual machine(WMWare Player) on a PC for the past week. Have to say I just don't get it. It seems light years behind Windows 7 to me.

Hello FUBHO, and welcome to Tankwatch. I'm really glad you've made it to the party. I've noticed a lot of high quality posts on your Smartphones and Tablets board, and have always been careful to give you credit and link to your thread, instead of the article itself.

I look forward to some quality contributions from you. Please fasten your seatbelt and hang on for the ride. Please also be sure to read the rules as set fourth in the thread header - especially the strict requirement for gratuitous fanboy trolling. I somehow get the feeling, however, that I may be preaching to the choir.

What exactly do you love about Max OS X, because I just don't see it? I find the simplicity to be a hindrance. I cannot customize it the way I can Windows 7 or Ubuntu. The UI seems like it was made for children appearance wise.

That's funny, I've always heard Windows referred to as the "Fisher Price UI."

Overall though I believe you're right, OS X doesn't let you tweak as much of the UI's appearance as Windows does. At least not with the built-in stuff.

What is it precisely that you'd like to do that you can't?

That's sort of like asking me what exactly do I love about sex.

I could tell you, it would take me a while, and it would not help you or me, one iota. (g)

Let's just say OS X is like like a very old friend who rarely asks for money, and leave it at that. (g)
