That is the point. You sacrifice versatility and power for aesthetics with iMacs. Even a Mac Pro would limit your upgrade paths due to driver support. I don't like the trade offs at all. With Mac products you generally get something less powerful for more money.

Certainly a valid viewpoint. To me, not dealing with viruses and malware alone on OS X is worth it, but to each his own.

The humorous photo did not show a PC all-in-one.

I know, I was trying to compare apples to apples (so to speak). My point was the PC all-in-ones don't allow video card upgrades either, to my knowledge.

Generally, yes. Which is why I love my hackintosh Mac Pro equivalent so much, having spent a whopping $350 on it. (g)
