Instead of looking at FTEL and trying to find a link to a major partner like Worldcom, I'm turning it around and looking into
Worldcom as much as possible and trying to find out if there is a
link to FTEL. Or at least a desire for the type of products/services a company like FTEL could provide. Kinda like starting with the body and trying to find the tail, instead of starting at the tail and trying to find the body. The more I look over Worldcom and what its been doing, the more I see it as the #1 company in the entire world from which FTEL could benefit the greatest.

If Frank had the #1 draft pick, it should be Worldcom. Not to imply that FTEL is in a position to pick anything.

From Worldcom's CEO message:

"Our goal is to build a new kind of communications company. One that behaves very differently from the monopolies that have developed over the past hundred years. One that can move quickly to meet the changing needs of the business marketplace--by building the right facilities, using the right technologies and offering the right services. One that can leverage the unique assets of the combined companies. One that can utilize advanced expertise and industry leadership in delivering services through Internet-based technologies. That's the kind of company we're building, and in doing so, we believe that we are as well-positioned as anyone to lead the industry through the changes
ahead."

Maybe a company that looks at Internet Telephony as an opportunity
and not a threat?

"One that can leverage the unique assets of the combined companies."

With UUNET, Worldcom is the largest internet service provider. That is the 1st thing they mention when listing their facilities. With MCI, they are increasing that capacity. Worldcom is obviously looking to continue to dominate, expand and exploit their internet assets in the most major way.

Through Internet-base technologies...that's talking Franklin's
language... Again, internet, internet, internet...

"we believe that we are as well-positioned as anyone to lead the
industry through the changes ahead."

Hhhmmm...they expect changes...they not only expect them, they plan to take the lead through them. What changes?..maybe long distance telephone calls through packet systems along with switched systems? Well-positioned???...like with the largest internet system in the world?

Now, would a company like that be interested in DVG's for quality
voice over the internet? With admitted bias, I say....YESSS!!!
But, even if Franklin has the goods, what might show a company like Worldcom that Franklin can deliver?...Maybe $120,000,000 in Franklin's bank acount ready and waiting to be spent cranking out DVG's?

Then again, the question has to come up...with DVG's starting to
become common place, why would Franklin's DVG be selected? And I
don't mean a Helen told me so or a 40,000 shares investor tried it
and said so, or even a brown-noised editor said so reason. I'm talking about a reason that some gray haired guy in a kent suit in a corner office on the 60th-something floor on Wall Street would look at with raised eyebrows.

We be await'n for the big one Frank!! gggg
