if by saying "Look what happened to the Ascend/Cascade pair. Just an opinion." you're suggesting that great synergies have indeed occurred i would totally agree with your opinion. If OTOH you were still questioning how often mergers/assimilations work and that only CSCO seems to get it right I would say that the ASND/CSCC combo in working out very well, both in terms of the expected bilateral enhancements in the marketplace and the meshing of the operations.
