China n Chinese are careful about engaging in conflict, comma, per art of war, re positioning.

Enough in USA believe in clash of civilizations, vs plenty of Arabia have faith in jihad. Belief vs faith, interesting pair trade.

Are you saying team USA does not have to be careful about engaging in conflict? Well, I do not know about have to vs not have to, but truth is team USA is very careless about engaging in conflict, obvious enough.

<Lose a soldier in battle, see an entire Chinese family wiped from existence.>

The lesson of Vietnam, being applied in Iraq and Afghanistan, is that technology makes it possible to substitute machinery and software for bodies. The U.S. middle class hasn't protested against our current overseas adventures, because their sons aren't being drafted, and the $ cost is on the credit card. No pain (for Americans, current generation)......no protest.

History says that, at the height of their power and arrogance, every Empire is required to invade Afghanistan, to begin being humbled. Alexander the Great's camp in Afghanistan, in the winter of 334 B.C., was Bagram. That site is now America's main base in the country. Around 2050 A.D. or so, the Chinese will be there, bringing freedom and democracy to the Afghans (as China defines those terms).
