Some thoughts from a lurker.

Why are so many of today's posters upset that there were no OEM announcements with CLIK? I don't recall there being any when ZIP was announced either. And it seems to have done alright.

Why would we want IOM to be in bed with Kodak or anyone else? Wouldn't that just pi*s off the other manufacturers like Fuji, HP, etc? Sort of like the box makers not wanting to support the ls120 because of it putting money in CPQ's pocket. Why shouldn't IOM just handle the CLIK like they do the ZIP, sell it to everyone.

I think this announcement is HUGE. Just read the list of devices that can use CLIK, and the list of companies interested in supporting it. Put on those glasses that let you see and believe in the ZIP and I think you will see an even greater future for CLIK. Also remember, this may be a new product, but it is coming from a company that has proven themselves.

As for today's price, I don't know if it will be up or down, but it doesn't matter, we are looking at the future. Just step back and look around you. You are discussing stocks with thousands of people from all over the world at your computer. Most of the world, and many of those associated with the street do not understand this, they do not see well into the future. You do. That is why you bought IOM, they make products for the future that you understand. We just have to be patient, the rest of the world will catch up, and when they do the price will be right.

Just my thoughts

"time will tell"

<<With the rebates I got 100 for $3.97.>>

did they see you coming? just recently you could buy all you want and get all your money back in rebates, so it looks like you paid $3.97 too much.

Just to keep track, where did you short Iomega?

I threw out about 300 of those floppies over the past 6 months. Put them on ZIP disks, I have 15 Zip disks right now and going to buy a box of the colored ones soon.

I use 3 ZIP drives, one for my desktop (SCSI) one for my notebook at work, and one for my notebook when I bring it home. VERY VERY VERY rare I mean VERY RARE that I will ever use a 1.44 floppy anymore.

I know where you are coming from, but in my opinion the 1.44 is obsolete, and I don't want to use it anymore.

Have a good one,
