Then you almost HAVE to use a Mac.

There really isn't an "almost" about it. Everyone I encounter in my arena uses a Mac, or they simply view what I produce, in which case it does not matter what they use. None the less, EVERYONE who ACTIVELY interacts with my products uses Macs. Zero exceptions.

For the same reason someone like me (software developer) almost cannot. That's where the tools are. Sure there are Windows guys doing what you do and Mac guys doing what I do. But these are outliers.

Precisely!

But I think Macs will continue to be a force, but mostly for home users and artistic types.

If Adobe keeps screwing people to the tune of massive hundreds of bucks per upgrade, I can see a move, in various directions. Adobe used to be the cement that held all Apple artistic types together. That cement fell to dust, recently. Say no more, you know exactly what I mean.

A few businesses will go that route. But unless there is a compelling need to spend the dollars to switch to Macs, most aren't going to do it. And there really isn't any advantage to doing so while there are plenty of disadvantages.

Yup.

Bottom line, the upper echelon Apple Mac users have plenty to think about, these days. Including myself. Thus far, I don't see any reason to go PC. Hackintosh, tower wise, absolutely. Laptop? Absolutely not. That new set of MacBook Pros ROCKS! (g)
