Bearded One,

You are kidding right?

<<Meanwhile, Iomega is still a one product company.>>

Sort of like microprocessors, routers and operating environments.

<<but the number of competitors out there are increasing, not decreasing. >>

well I'll give you that one, lets see competitors to date:
CDRW
EZ135
EZ Flyer 230
Shark
MO
Flopticals, LS-120
Minidiscs
Floppies
DVD
SyJet
Quest
HP/CMS Trakker

yeah they are all just kicking our ass..., but lets not forget
biz.yahoo.com
''I have built my reputation and my businesses on the cornerstone of leading-edge technology,'' says Syed Iftikar, original founder of SyQuest, co-founder of Seagate, and now CEO of Castlewood.

Because the founder did so well at SyQuest I'm going to jump on that "built reputation".

But hey they do have Sanyo and we only have everyone else.

good, very good info. with insights like that I could lose as much money as Rocky.

To: B.O. Re: How was I wrong?

Here's one example:

techstocks.com

Do you want me to waste more time finding more?

BTW, re: Castlejunk, I'm sooooooo scared. Almost as scared as I was when EZFlyer came out and really whipped Iomega.

Also, do you use a Packard Bell computer or other no name? Then why would you buy Castlewood?

Go away.
