I doubt the enterprise adoption of these products is substantial.

Being self employed, I would not know about enterprise adoption.

As far as I am concerned, free Open Office is all I need, to keep up with anything anyone wants to toss at me, that requires Office compatibility.

But as I said, your milage will vary.

Fact remains: Mac users DON'T have to buy Microsoft Office lest they be cut off from the rest of the world.

Case closed, as far as I am concerned. Carry on. (g)

Just for the record, MySQL is available for OS X, and has been for many years. It runs just fine, and there are many excellent management tools available. PostgreSQL is another option.
