I find it troubling that "serious" conservatives would ignore the truth in Beck's ramblings and focus on his admittedly over the top presentation which is done for entertainment purposes. They should focus on the truth in his commentary. Islam does wish to establish a caliphate. That is its sole purpose.

i agree with this....

if 'serious conservatives' were doing their job by speaking out and eschewing political correctness i doubt beck would have much of a following...

you can shoot the messenger all you want, but if the message is accurate, well, best to ask yourself why you have been remiss in communicating 'the message'

beck is a modern day howard beal, imo, and i think he's nuts, but when he's right, he's right

pretty obvious to me that 'serious conservatives' (including hero krauthammer) feel the need to be approved of and accepted by the washington and NY elites so they tailor their message accordingly

That's the way I see it too. Some people do not do their own thinking so the only thing they see is the theatrics when they watch Beck.

I read Mein Kampf about forty years after it was written, long wondered why it wasn't taken seriously sooner. Was anyone hollering to high heaven about the danger there? Was anyone paying attention? The timing of Neville Chamberlain's remarks indicate not.

Beck is engaging in a lot of conjecture, but based on observable facts. It'd be right comfortable if he's all wet. Not so much if he's even 10% on target.

Just goes to show that there's a lot of weeding the GOP needs to do as far as 'serious conservatives' go. Too many are sheeple in wolves clothing.

This is exactly the way the left sees his show, ignore the facts and focus on the extreme. Great post BTW.
