The amazing part though is the fact that they are doing this on a battery that is half the size of the iPad. The question is if this is due to Honeycomb or is Apple about to blow away the first gen battery life numbers with their update? Honestly, when you get past 8 hours of battery life I'm not sure there are many people who will base their purchase decision on that metric. Even folks on the road... not often your going to use the pad more than 8 hours between chances to plug it in. It's what I've been saying, the iPad is so, um, adequate, it's hard to find ways to significantly improve it. Software yes, hardware no. IMHO of course.
