I am a christian pacifist, and therefore reject all war, even in self-defense.

What about defending someone else? Would you stand by while a woman was brutally raped? Or a child molested in front of of your eyes?

I do, however, approve of law enforcement. That includes international law

Why? If you're unwilling to authorize the use of force in resolving conflicts between nations, why would you be willing to authorize it for the purpose of resolving conflicts between individuals?

Use of military force is the means by which nations protect their sovereignty, and/or defend their interests. Some nations, like criminals, use force to violate the rights of others. Other nations, usually the US, SHOULD only use military force to defend ourselves, or to prevent an obvious threat to our security.

I would voice the opinion that the situation in Libya is bordering on that.. And we have some payback coming to use for Qadaffi's Pam Am bombing.
