That's what investing/trading is all about...the money is always there, it just changes hands. When you are invested in CSCO and wish it to surge higher, do you enjoy the idea of the shorts losing their millions so you can make a few bucks?

If you are concerned that CSCO will catch COMS' cold, lock in your gains...if not, then you have nothing to worry about -- your money is safe.

Shorting a company like CSCO is truly a suckers bet. Occasionally some people will be able to take money off the table and they can pat themselves on the back for it, but that just brings them back for more. I was lucky enough to get into this stock near this years low. I presume I bought my shares from someone shorting the stock and for that I am grateful.
