We might eventually see other countries in the world come together and create a different mechanism for price discovery. Where is it carved in stone that ICE and the CME should be setting commodity prices for the rest of the world anyway...ha. Iran was trying to establish an oil exchange two years ago. A consortium of SE Asian countries at that time also announced the exploration of establishing a rice and soybean exchange. Then prices fell back on all commodities, and these efforts fell out the newspapers.
