Didn't say that. Some cracked corn is in the mix. Feeding just straight whole corn can cause bloat in cattle and it tends to make the bacteria count go up. It also produces a carcass that has a lot more fat and less meat.

Chickens can get by on straight cracked corn, but the shells are thin and the yolks pale.

Best thing for putting weight on hogs is fermented oats. Things have changed since you slopped hogs. Now you don't go into a hog building unless you are wearing boots supplied by the farmer. They live in a more sanitary place than a hospital.

What just struck me about the ethanol thing is people are wanting to tell farmers what to grow and who to sell to. If I could make more money raising sweet corn for people than high starch corn for ethanol I'd be doing it.
