I really wish the focus of the argument would start to include what these high costs are doing to non-union American citizens and their communities. We never hear about that.

It's always me, me, me (union member.)

My personal position is I am willing to contribute more.
But first I would like my congresspersons lead from the front and begin paying a fair share of their health costs.

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld announced on September 10, 2001 ( on the eve of the attacks ) that 2.3 trillion was missing from the Pentagon and could not be accounted for. ( Source: whereisthemoney.org )

In addition, the Department of Defense has not been independently audited since 1995 when it was required to do so. ( Source: Jim Marrs, The Terror Conspiracy, page 375 ) Mr. Marrs is a well known author and journalist whose books have been on the NY Times Bestseller list twice.

Furthermore, it was also stated on the Internet, from a retired officer from MOAA that every agency that audits DOD's books finds that they
are " unauditable. "

Therefore, it is not necessary for any costs to be on the backs of that noble community called " military retirees." The money is there. Go back in time up to the present and audit the books of DOD and find it.

No wonder that Obama likes the Unions so much....they are close cousins...."It's all about them, not their members or citizens in O's case...."

Daniels found out that the Union Bosses would rather see half their members laid off than to lose their bargaining power. It's all about them, not their members.
