The news that you just posted here is very disturbing..

How terrible for you. I feel very badly. The picture that I have of you in my mind is in a leather jacket, helmet and motorcycle and healthy appearing. Now you are being plagued
by these horrendous clots.

I guess blood thinners are the one way to attack them. However I hope that your doctor has you walking too. I mean walking. Like a few miles a day. Maybe even on a tread mill as
I find that since I go to the mountains in the summer Florida isjust too flat to walk. I go to NC and have to climb hills...
Nothing is flat. So I put the tread mill at an elevation of 10 and walk up hill at a 2.5 speed. Then I put it at 4 and walk faster at 3.0
I do a mile in 20 minutes and no matter how badly... I will be 80 in two weeks I feel better after a work out.

My Doctor says that even though I have terrible arthritis in my hands... and they are grossly deformed that by STAYING ACTIVE I am staving off the pain of this disease.

Please keep in touch Alan and share with us how you are doing.

Thank you for writing. I lose touch with you and some other friends occasionally as I do not go to PFP thread.
