One thing that really sux is that Samsung does not have a stock that trades in the US. They make some of the best Droids and WP7 phones. They manufacture large, bright AMOLEDs that make their phones look better than anyone else's, their ARM business is strong. The company really is huge. I'm told that buying S Korean large cap index funds is a reasonable proxy, because Samsung makes up over a third of it.

Of course, even though they make some of the best refridgerators (mine), laptops; televisions (many types), DVD players, etc., etc, somehow AAPL's market cap still seems to dwarf theirs. A discriminating investor might almost think that we have a tulip on our hands in AAPL. I know that I would never value Apple at more than Samsung. But then again, the market has been known historically over and over again to correct itself when it makes such serious overcapitalization errors.

Google's Nexus S smartphone has a lot of interesting features, but the one that attracts the most attention is the fact that it ships with the latest version of the Android smartphone operating system, version 2.3. Otherwise known as Gingerbread, this OS is said to be the fastest version of Android yet. In addition to Gingerbread, the Nexus S touts a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, and 16GB of internal memory. It's network performance numbers turned out to be relatively impressive as well.
