Sold 1 HOT May 49 put for 1.06.

Absent other posters I'm going to discontinue doing this shortly as I already know the trade I did, the whys and wherefores and whatnots.

alanrs,

Tried to post earlier, somehow it got lost. I've been busy with QCOM and IWM (R2000 tracker)

with QCOM, position called on 47.50 in Jan10, put at 47.00 in Feb10, and just called in Jan11 for the 55.00's. Rolled up and out a couple times, but think I made as much on the options as I did for the underlying.

on my IWM I let it be put to me at 75,70,60,50,and even sold 40's and 33's a couple years back. called out now on the lower stuf, 52,63,rolled up and out on the 70's to get to 74 but wil let it go for that price. the 75's are rolled up and out until 78's, but again will let it go there.

I usually sell 30 day or less stuff, and look to make 1% or so. would rather remain uncalled and unput than get big shifts in positions.

50% cash now; but will wait for the market to come back to me. Learned my lesson in 2000, when I could have retired if I had been willing to cash out and pay the taxes.

Looking forward to hearing from you all...
