<How do you handle mosquitoes?> All life is sacred...except mosquitoes.

<Killing criminals and other predators is an unpleasant but essential part of life.> Essential? 152 nations have abolished the death penalty, or use it so infrequently, that nobody has been executed in the last 10 years. Austria hasn't executed anyone since 1950, or gotten in any wars. That seems to be working a lot better for them, than their pre-1945 attitude, when they were enthusiastic about government-organized killing, with bad results.

New Zealand, a civilized nation: last execution in 1957; they sent soldiers to the Korean and Vietnam wars, but, having learned their lesson, avoided the Empire's wars since. Only uncivilized habitually-violent nations like Iran, China, and the U.S. find it "essential" to kill criminals.

>Gandhi was just another crooked lawyer.>

Why so much venom against Gandhi? Even more than Winston Churchill expressed...

>It is alarming and also nauseating to see Mr. Gandhi, a seditious Middle Temple lawyer of the type well-known in the East, now posing as a fakir, striding half naked up the steps of the Viceregal palace to parley on equal terms with the representative of the King-Emperor. >
