Millions of people would be on welfare if they hadn't turned themselves into slaves to the Military Industrial Complex. If America would suddenly revert to what it should be doing these millions would be homeless, out of work or in jail or worse, they would get a job in the security industry and make the USA even more unlivable. Too bad that this class is young, as a rule, has no hope, no new ideas and brains that have turned to mush from drugs, religion and nationalism. "However, we must go beyond balancing the budget to transitioning back to a free society, and that means eventually placing responsibility for social welfare back in the hands of individuals and private institutions." Military types are far worse than those unfortunates legitimately on welfare because they can never really transition back to becoming moral citizens. I'm all for cutting military spending but isn't there also a way to put all the military people on some remote island and let them kill each other rather than bring them back home jobless and create a further burden to everyone? I like your idea of "institutions" but you cannot take people with no brains and full of hate and keep trying to build a decent society going forward no matter what institution you place them in. America today is the final mutation of decades of militarism. In my opinion it can't be helped, too far gone. Those in our society who have any love or decency left in them are being destroyed by the influence of subhuman returned servicemen from previous wars among us. Isn't it obvious that the book has been written and the ending cannot be changed. The USA is finished as a world power in oh so many ways. A total cleansing is needed but we can't afford it. Won't that be one mighty day When we hear world leaders say "We don't have to cry no more" "We're givin' it up, we gonna let it all go" Chorus: Ain't gonna study, study war no more Ain't gonna think, think war no more Ain't gonna fight, fight war no more We're givin' it up, we gonna let it go We're givin' it up, we gonna let it go We will take gun powder to have fun Then get rid of the atom bomb Something else that we can do Get rid of all those rockets too [chorus] The money spent on bombs alone Can build poor people a happy home Something good we can do You treat me like I treat you No more starving in the nation Everybody gets an education Everytime a baby is born We know he'll have him a happy home [chorus] No more sleeping in the street We all happy whoever we meet Then we all will shake their hand And make this world a promised land.youtube.com and for those who couldn't figure out the obvious in this lifetime, God was not, is not and never will be on the side of anyone in any militaryyoutube.com youtube.com
