I agree with that post as it relates to RAID 0, but to be clear, we are talking (with Raptech) about RAID 1.

Yup, I realize that. Just thought I'd throw that Langa thing out after reading thecow and SIer formerly known as Joe B's posts about RAID 0 and 1 yesterday.

Langa's opinion about RAID for the average user "RAID is needless overkill on most desktop systems."

I've thought about a RAID setup in the past, but lately I've read more and more reasons why I shouldn't bother.

Doesn't mean it isn't useful for somebody else. I'm always interested in hearing the pros and cons. I might learn something?
