To anyone on this thread,

I am currently heavily invested in Maverick Tube (MAVK) and Gulf Island Fabrication (GIFI). I have traded these stocks in the past and made lots of money. Now I want to sit on them so I bought mavk at 38 last week and gifi at 33.5. Any thoughts as to the future of the market, I am considering doubling my position because the large fall is soley due to market conditions and not either company. From what I can research, both these companies are doing remarkably well.

Any thoughts on these and the overall sector would be appreciated.

Barbara

Being fairly new at this I feel fairly lucky to have made money in most stocks, not a killing but a little here and a little there with the help of this computer and many on this thread. PKD is an exception however, I bought high and have been in the red ever since, today I averaged down with some cash from other profits and hope it will pay off. The fact that PKD doesn't have to dilute and has the cash flow to grow should be good, at least to my way of thinking.
Now if I can just get a friend of mine that trades for a living to come over and teach me to do puts, calls amd options like Mike up in Kerrville, as will as others, mabey I will be able to buy a little place like his. Till then I'm not going to quite my day job, and mabey not even then, because I love it.
Take care
Steve
