<<the volume drop on IOM was unusual intraday for such a big announcement. what were they thinking. >>

I guess I was one of those traders responsible for at least a very small part of today's reversal. Here's what I was thinkling. When the announcement of IOM's collaborations with Atmel and Zoran came out, IOM was over 29 and falling fast. I sold my 3200 shares at 28 7/8, because there was too much uncertainty and disappointment. When IOM stabilized and started up again, I bought it all back at 28 1/2.

You might say that I only gained 3/8 of a point off the trade. But shortly after the announcement, the market was falling, and so was IOM. Selling out was a sensible way to protect my previous gains in an uncertain market. And the 3/8 of a point netted me an extra $1162 after commissions.

Still long, but prudent.
