Ed: This quarterly report was perfect for accountant types.

I used my cell phone to check the open and mid day price only to find that it was still stuck low. At that point I started to look into the horizon and daydream about how your predictions were "right on". I envisioned that the stock would hover around 23-24 and then dive to 22 on the earnings release that I knew was comeing today. The financial statement numbers, as a whole, didn't look that good, however, the PR release, is well written and covered the important areas of comparison. The press release made a so so financial look attractive and capitalized on the important areas to consider when valueing Nextel, result: the stock had a small run up.

I don't want to see the stock hit 22, but somehow, I have the gut feeling that this run up is different than other quarterly run ups, and that there will be a correction. I HAVE AN IDEA! How about changing your numbers, against your better judgement of course, and let's pretend that the trend will tilt straight up. It feels better to be LONG. If we think good things, good things will happen.

I'm now into feeling better!

Wouldn't it be funny if we both have the same sober client in Taft. Either that, or you're in the liquor business.

Regards long Al
