To Glenn and Jas, I read your posts and understand how you, Jas, might feel right now. I have an interesting story that was told to me by someone that comes in contact with traders on a frequent basis. He explained that you might think that traders are analytical types, number crunchers, financial types, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. My friend told me that the bunch he knows are all ex-jocks that can barely add or spell. Their two strong points are:

1. They react quickly when they see or hear a number.
2. They know how to take a loss and pick themselves right up.

Drawdown is part of this business. Good luck in making up your losses.

Harry

The end of the day soothed me slightly. And my broker informs me that I have a lot of leeway before I face a margin call (he said they made 7,000 calls on Oct. 27th). Sold my CSCO and MCIC to reduce it somewhat anyway. I'm sure they will both go higher, but I'm not terribly confident in my investing lately.

I do have more confidence in COMS coming back than ASND. With that crap about market consolidation from the CEO, I lost a little faith. COMS, though, is one of the cornerstones of networking, and [USRX] is one of the cornerstones of personal computing communications.

Tell me again, if you sold puts at considerably higher prices, is your only option to pray, or do they still have some trading value if they are far enough out? Is there any way to hedge your positions?

Let's hope the week ends on a positive note.
