3, on the Asia topic, today's WSJ Interactive had an article concerning Dell's Asia sales. They quoted Phil Kelly, Dell's head guy in the Asia/Pacific arena as saying that Dell has not seen any effect on it's sales in Asia in spite of all the turmoil. The link is:

There was also an interesting article about Intel. The scuttlebut is that Intel has been cutting backroom deals with 'selected customers' on the Pentium II to try and speed it's acceptance in the marketplace. The article went on to say that current 233mhz Pentium II prices are 401/unit, but that Intel was offering them for 250-300/unit. No comment from INTC...
