This looks like Japan may be playing catchup w/ its ASEAN partners, although they obviously didn't enjoy the financial growth that these partners did, but even the depressed markets in and around the region have fallen further than imagined in sympathy, Pakistan and South Korea case in point. US also has thusfar been shielded from major downside (don't tell that to the small caps and my holdings, as the underlying market has been crushed, and this don't look like no 'white' Christmas in my house :( ). And don't listen to all this sh*t about ASEAN region not affecting the US, as it appears to be more of a piggyback situation if there isn't a direct link there is an indirect link, meaning US supplier A supplies to Euro supplier B who in turn supplies to ASEAN supplier C... The link don't show up but its there.
