I hear.. In Toronto the new mayor is trying to get rid of the board and CEO in charge of the public housing.. who have been pi$$ing money away on extravagances for themselves.. some resigned.. some are refusing.. and rather not give up their (some could say illegal) entitlements without kicking and screaming ... They are not there for the people.. My mom and dad go down to Cuba a couple of times a year.. They have few families that they help directly .. no agency.. They se the progress, the gratitude and the hard work the folks do with a real hand up.. almost like another set of relatives... anyway.. it's the best way to do charity IMO... like taking a food and toy basket right to a needy family at Christmas..
