NucleationNucleation is the process of forming particles from a purely gaseous precursor phase.

There are two types of nucleation processes,

1.homogenous nucleation
2.heterogeneous nucleation.
Nucleation occurs for different reasons. Important among them, is the supersaturation of a vapor. When a hot vapor in a gas is cooled down, its supersaturation ratio increases, and it becomes supersaturated. Therefore, it "precipitates out" into particles. This process is called nucleation.

[edit] CoagulationWhen particles are present in an aerosol they collide with each other. During that they may undergo coalescence or aggregation. This process leads to a change in the aerosol size distribution function.

[edit] Surface GrowthSurface growth is the process by which an aerosol particle grows with the accretion of monomers or individual molecules to an already existent particle.

Opal is a secondary compound comprising a combination of hydrous silica gels and
microcrystalline constituents Pure opal is an amorphous compound that escapes many methods of analysis; however,
based on acquired mineral samples of opal, cristobalite was detectable by XRD. Opal itself is not
stable over long periods of time, so evidence of its existence would consist of high amounts
(especially in fractures) of cristobalite and chert.
Attention was given to examine samples for cristobalite with XRD techniques; however,
nearly all tests reported values below detection tolerance. Cristobalite, like opal, is not stable for
long periods of time, so if cristobalite did exist in the samples, it has most likely transformed to
chert and has become part of the strong quartz signature exhibited by the prominent silts and
sands of the Bakken Formation. This topic could be explored further in the future, but more
detailed analysis was not conducted for this project.

the end game comes with/when the realization that nothing survives, everything changes.......with energies like these....geologists/geophisicists in particular need to listen to the instructions within Mac Arthur Park, because they need to pick it up, failing to pick it up, means they will be left behind.
counterprogramming the peakists, malfeasance on trial.

Plunging through Jupiter's atmosphere, the object created a channel of super-heated atmospheric gases and debris. An explosion deep below the clouds – probably releasing at least around 200 trillion trillion ergs of energy, or more than 5 gigatons of TNT

Look at the scale.....Nucleation captured on film.

the peak oil community has no fallback position. So, Peak oil is based on a mischaracterization of the source and origin of oil formation.

The peak oilists are now changing tactics, inserting fear uncertainty and doubt about fracturing, as the primary prong of attack to keep the myth of peak oil fable makers engaged, to the purpose of limiting growth of production.

In a hundred reports the pervasive mischaracterization of OIL as product of organics evolving oil is just nonsense. Once respected government agencies cavort with responsibility for sustaining this myth. other government agencies have taken steps to correct the record, proof that disperate agencies under disperate leadership, have agendas other than truth.

There is no possibility that the oil laid out by these impactors into Jupiter can be refuted. There is near 100% correlation for impactors on the earth and oil formation world wide. The Impactor data base is not well maintained and probably has only a fraction of the total impactors listed.

On July 19th 2009 an asteroid hit jupiter. These are the images, instruments were calibrated and detected hydrocarbons.... photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov
there are 8 images of this event.....

not 8 speculations about which fossils might have decomposed when...blah blah blah geologists claims about biomarkers from liquids abrading rock.

.we've been given a real time view of the creation of transition materials when two bodies collide......

the strata below this event was fractured, just like the fractures created by all earth impactors. These images detected and depicted the hydrocarbons at the surface, the new materials created, eventualy disappear as they migrate into the fractures to below surface levels. Just like our shales today, the oil rained down on the surface and spent the next millions of years as liquid particulates under pressure moving lower in a slow process of finding host rocks amenable to accumulation.

Nucleation created these hydrocarbons, more editorial about this event is at the post which this is a reply.

Outtake:
Plunging through Jupiter's atmosphere, the object created a channel of super-heated atmospheric gases and debris. An explosion deep below the clouds – probably releasing at least around 200 trillion trillion ergs of energy, or more than 5 gigatons of TNT -- then launched debris material back along the channel, above the cloud tops, to splash back down into the atmosphere, creating the aerosol particulates
