AFTER you correct your current problem I would strongly recommend installing Secunia's free PSI. Have used it a long time and its a very nice convenient package that will auto scan your PC SW, report any that have security patches available. It will also provide hot links to the updates for all except MS which must be done the MS way.

Ken you probably have to scroll to the bottom of the disclaimer to agree and proceed with the install.
You can safely remove older versions of adobe in control panel.
