Jim I agree. The fact that UPS is starting to convert some of their fleets to NG is big, and can start a trend. Why, is because they can have a cost advantage over their competitors. Just think, you have Fed-X, all Gov't vehicles, US postal service, the trucking industry. Just to name a few. You have to remember Mr. Obama is from a corn state. The US has never taken a serious stand to show the world and OPEC, we as a nation are going to do something about being energy dependent. It's got to do more with supply and demand than with turning your thermostat down to 65.

I know a guy here in Tulsa who is in the CNG refill business. Our city buses run on CNG and they are converting the school buses right now. FedEx and UPS are going that way. It makes sense for delivery vehicles that come back to base each day and don't have to go too far. Also, trucks can handle the extra weight and space. He says it will be a long time for many cars to go CNG because: 1. Conversion cost, 2. Range, 3. Takes up most of your trunk, 4. Lack of convenient refill sites, 5. Time to refill. If the vast majority of driving is short distance and cost of fuel is high, then CNG makes sense. CNG clearly has its place as a fuel, but it is unlikely to replace mogas for most of us during our lifetimes. Of course, $200 POO for an extended time would change a lot. Blessings, JRH
