We also used to have an entire fleet of NG converted half ton trucks in our landscaping business. Back in the mid-80's it cost about $1500 to get the conversion done and NG was 4-7 cents/litre around Calgary. At the time, regular was 30-35 cents/litre. Lots of places to fill 'er up too, but you had to get an attendant to do it. Full service every time.
Mileage was down about 5-10% from gas powered vehicles but payback was as little as a year.

If they are adopted and sold en-masse, then the price of cars like the Civic will drop.
To me, they seem a bit of a niche car at the moment.
You have to want to own one on moral grounds.
