I respond to you, because I've read your posts for years, and I respect what you have to say about investments, relations between nations, and China. Same thing with Maurice: I don't always agree with him, but I respect him greatly.

Hopefully, the discussion we're having will be moot, in the future. The "Great Game" is history; The Age of Colonialism (1492-1914) is also history; China's periodic suffering from barbarian invasions (the last one 1839 Opium War to 1949 reunification, with the Brits and Japanese replacing the Mongols in the role of barbarian) won't happen again, in any likely future.

Hopefully, in the future, the Great Game, will be whether First Solar (U.S. champion) or Trina and Yingli (Chinese) can conquer the biggest market share in solar panels.

It's late, good night.

"see the many errors of your ways"...Jeez, TJ, that is straight out of Chinese thought reform techniques;give me a break.

I'll admit I stacked the deck;I could have said "frail, starving, blind monks" though.

Will examine your links when I have time later.

BTW, I think Israel should turn the Middle East into a nuclear cinder if it has to do so to survive. I have many relatives there.
