<<... I'm even less certain, that Japan won't repeat the Rape of Nanking, and the mass forced sexual slavery of Korean women during WW2, because their apologies for those crimes have been very insincere. Their school textbooks don't even mention it ...>>

... and so should japan start to inch toward nuke weapons, would be no different then ... oh, say iran, if that name rings a bell to some, and say serbia, if that name rings a bell to others.

<<I'm even less certain, that China won't repeat what they've done in Tibet, anytime and anywhere the opportunity presents itself. China has not even admitted the crime.>>

... what exactly do you think china did in tibet?

- altruistically liberated folks out of religious fundamentalist feudalism michaelparenti.org that made clothing out of baby skin google.com ? or

- righteously engaged against wannabe imperialist lap dog invaders of the great game?

<<I'm somewhat less certain, that the U.S. won't repeat what we did to Japanese-Americans in WW2 (with some other distrusted group, like Muslim-Americans), because our apology for that crime, has been tepid.>>

... i, otoh, am not at all uncertain.

team america is doing same such today and enabling others to do same, supported by your tax dollars, until such time you vacate occupied america and opt out of the system.

btw, now you can either stop or learn more ;0)

I only care about the past, as it affects the future. I understand your argument.. past is past.. after a time.. OK.. but at that US still has issues.. which will affect the future.. and past that is affecting the present.. so if you give equal airplay.. I am fine with that ... I don't have to agree with you... but I can respect a balanced presentation.. I think you err on that count.. (until this post)

I am very certain Germany won't repeat WW2 I dunno they still have one strike left .. ;o) but yeah I agree .. not bloody likely..

I'm somewhat less certain, that the U.S. won't repeat what we did to Japanese-Americans in WW2 because their apologies for those crimes have been very insincere. Their school textbooks same up here.. traveling the country and seeing different monuments and historical sites teaches stuff not promoted in history class.. some not very nice stuff.. Canucks aren't really all cute and cuddly either.. I wonder if we had 10 times the population etc... where we would be,..

Redemption begins with repentance. and at home..

OK that (your) post had a lot of balance..
